Why oh why do I not read your blog daily Melissa?! HOW did I miss this?!?! I check that damn channel every weekend for late night movies...I have a decent enough looking copy of Faster, but it has french subtitles at the bottom which gets annoying...man...I'll have to wait another year until they replay it (or how about finally releasing this one in America!)
Mudhoney - not one of my favorite's of Russ...but speaking of the band and the dart night thread that I guess continues here...pretty much every bar we play in these days has the touch screen jukes where you can pay a silly amount of money and download tunes to play...I think I paid a buck to hear "Freak Mama" by Sir Mix A Lot with Mudhoney from the "Judgement Night" Soundtrack where every song was a rap band with an "alternative" band...A girlfriend of one of the guys we were playing yelled "who the hell played this?! That's why these download juke boxes suck!" and I had to explain to her that NO, that's the only good reason about these download jukes...what regular juke stocks the Judgement night soundtrack...and HOW do you not dig Sir Mix spitting lyrics like "Gonna Put you in the Mud, Honey" while playing with Mudhoney! That, in my opinion, if pure 90's alt rock genius...
I'll sned ya a burn of the copies I made if you like! I owe you a big package anyway from all the goodness you've sent me the last two years. :)
I remember liking Mudhoney (the movie) when I saw it but it's been a really long time, like maybe 15 years or so since I saw it, even though I had it on tape for ages. Faster Pussycat as well, but I think they were both on the same tape and I lost them during one of my many moves.
Dude, I so need to attend one of your dart nights. They sound like a hoot! Though I can't play darts for diddly. I throw like a girl. :)
