How in the hell has more than a week gone by and I have not heard a mention of this?! Man, this one is a bummer - Me and my dart league buddies were just talking about Jim Carroll last Tuesday as I brought a mix CD for the ride and had "People Who Died" on it and Jim had just died a couple of days earlier??
I got to see him do some poetry at a Home Alive benefit in the city in the mid to late 90's (7 Year Bitch headlined) and last saw Jim in person on the night CBGB closed, he was just hanging out, got a good picture of him outside
Man the death montage at the Grammy's is going to be amazingly sadly long this year...
You got to see him live? That's pretty awesome. I knew a guy who managed him for a short while. It was so strange, because we were just discussing him over brunch that Sunday when I first learned of his death a few hours later.
