Man, I wish it was that much of an ass-handing to Allen, but I have a feeling there's going to be a looong drawn-out recount over the next few weeks -- and since this is Virginia, lawyers are bound to get involved.
Greg! Great to hear from you! I read your blog every day, but I can't leave comments on it. :-(
Thanks, darlin'. I check your blog (almost) every day as well.
I'm finding hard to figure in this case how Allen weasels his way to overcome this deficit -- and in fact a hot rumor in Daily Kos today is that he's already ready to concede -- but I guess with GOP lawyers one never knows until the actual concession takes place.
I used to have Comments, but I got dispirited seeing all the "Comments: 0" by my posts. (Aesthetically, it just ain't too solid, at least to me.) Also, I'm not sure I have the energy or backbone to deal with trolls, on the occasions when they arise.
But if a "groundswell" among friends (like, say, 3 or 4) wants me to reopen Comments, I'll reconsider.
I really know the feeling. I always tell myself I don't really need the comments, that the pleasure of writing sustains me enough. But a page full of blank comments staring back at me every day can be rather, I hate to admit, dispiriting.
Breaking News: Allen called it quits. Dems have the House. AND the Senate.

Yay, Virginia voters! Kick that Macaca to the curb!

And yet gays still can't marry.
*sigh*
