Nope, nothing new for the HH. I thought of writing about Al Gore's "Current" TV network, but have personally found it too unwatchable to review. I just don't relate much to that Gen-X/Y demographic, I guess, and I risk sounding too much the old out-of-it fart by criticizing the thing.
I also have considered writing about how Lincoln's Civil War-era views on the negro relate to Obama, but that's a topic that really requires a HUGE amount of research to do it justice -- more than just reading Gore Vidal's fine novel "Lincoln," which I'm doing now. I just don't have the time or energy to do such research, particularly if I'm not being paid for it.
Also, it's always nice to be missed by someone...especially someone I really like!
Not much has changed re: my feelings about blogging. I promised myself that I'd give myself a year off and then reassess. I'd have to say, given my love for writing about current affairs, that it would be easier to come back and write with the historically profound Obama in there, than with Old Angry Depressing Man McCain.
